Chematek exhibited at CPHI China 2025 in Shanghai, one of the most important events on the pharmaceutical calendar for engaging with the Chinese market. China's pharmaceutical industry has deep experience with LAH and DIBAL-H, and is now actively looking at next-generation reagents that offer comparable performance with a better safety profile and less regulatory risk.
Synhydrid® was the focus at the stand, and its record of replacing dangerous reagents including LAH and DIBAL-H across a range of reduction chemistries generated strong interest from formulators, procurement specialists and R&D teams.
Chematek also showcased its custom synthesis capabilities. Beyond standard Synhydrid®, the company offers modified versions designed to replace more specialised reducing agents, backed by its chemistry expertise and its relationships across a global CDMO network. For Chinese manufacturers developing complex APIs, particularly in early-stage clinical work where reduction steps are often critical, that combination of commercial supply and custom development is a strong pitch.
The show generated new relationships and advanced existing ones. In a market where trust is built in person, Chematek's continued presence at CPHI China is doing real work.
