Chematek sent a team to SOCMA, the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association's annual conference, in March 2026: Christian Papandrea, Chiara Colletto PhD, Lorenzo Valoti and Brian Tarbit, working Booth 1002. SOCMA is an important stop as Chematek builds its commercial presence in North America.
The highlight was a presentation from Dr Colletto, author of Chematek's 2026 paper on sodium borohydride in ACS OPR&D. Her session drew on her background in reduction chemistry and specialty chemical development, and by most accounts it was one of the more substantive technical conversations of the event.
North America is becoming a key market for Chematek across several divisions. Synhydrid® and Piperhydride® are drawing interest from pharmaceutical and fine chemical manufacturers looking for safer, more scalable alternatives to LAH and DIBAL-H, and the region's specialty chemicals sector is a natural audience for Chematek's custom sourcing programme, backed by its global procurement infrastructure.
Booth 1002 stayed busy for the length of the conference. Chematek expects to return to SOCMA as its North American presence continues to build.
