REDUCTION REACTIONS
Synhydrid® performs reduction reactions, transforming functional groups by means of hydride addition. It can reduce esters and acids to alcohols or aldehydes, amides and nitriles to amines, lactones to diols or lactols.
A VERSATILE INITIATOR
Synhydrid® is also a versatile initiator in anionic polymerisation of Caprolactam. It can also be used to initiate Grignard reactions smoothly and effectively.
