2025 was a big year for Chematek, and the highlights break down into four categories: certifications, regulatory approvals, science, and events.
Certifications and quality
- EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing Chematek in the top 15% of all businesses assessed globally
- ISO 14001 environmental management certification
- ISO 9001 quality management renewal
Regulatory approvals
- Synhydrid® and DMDS achieved UK REACH registration
- EU REACH approval for DMDS increased to 1,000 tonnes per annum
- Coumarin and Solvent Yellow 124 registered under UK REACH
- Timberlove® earned EU REACH registration and biogenic carbon certification from TÜV SÜD, and was formally launched at SIMPPAR in Paris and Flavors & Fragrances in Göttingen
Science
The Synhydrid® SDMA review, published in ACS Organic Process Research & Development with researchers from the University of Nantes, gave the product peer-reviewed academic validation of its chemistry and performance: a landmark for the company's scientific credibility.
Events
Chematek attended CPHI Frankfurt, CPHI China, CPHI India, ERTC Cannes, LARTC Rio de Janeiro and the Savannah Specialty & Agro Show, building relationships across pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, refinery and specialty chemicals.
The company also expanded its network of strategic affiliations, joining ELITE (the London Stock Exchange Group's growth ecosystem), ItalyX and Consorzio Italbiotec: three organisations that map onto three different ambitions, growing sustainably, representing Italian excellence internationally, and engaging with the scientific and life sciences community its products serve.
The team gathered at Chematek's Milan headquarters in December to mark the year. Thank you to every customer, partner and colleague who made it what it was.
