Chematek has been awarded funding for the COFREE – CARB project within the framework of the European Regional Development Fund Programme FESR 2021–2027 of Regione Lombardia, under Action 1.1.2 “Support to technological transfer between Research and Lombardy companies”.

Chematek has been awarded funding for the COFREE – CARB project within the framework of the European Regional Development Fund Programme FESR 2021–2027 of Regione Lombardia, under Action 1.1.2 “Support to technological transfer between Research and Lombardy companies”.

The project, developed in collaboration with the University of Pavia, focuses on replacing gaseous carbon monoxide in carbonylation reactions with safer chemical CO surrogates. The objective is to reduce operational risks and lower the environmental impact of the process.

COFREE – CARB forms part of Chematek’s ongoing sustainability pathway and reflects our commitment to developing safer, more responsible and more sustainable chemical processes through research, innovation and collaboration.
