Timberlove®, Chematek's Ambroxide product for the flavours and fragrances industry, has received dual independent certification of its 100% biogenic carbon content. ASTM D6866 confirms the product is made entirely from renewable, plant-based carbon sources. TÜV SÜD, one of the world's leading independent technical services organisations, has placed it in its highest available category, confirming more than 90% biogenic carbon relative to total carbon content.
Timberlove® is made from renewable feedstocks through a fully controlled, integrated bio-based and chemical process developed by Chematek. Fermentation-based routes to Ambroxide can introduce unwanted olfactory noise and inconsistency batch to batch; Chematek's process avoids both, delivering a warm, woody, mineralic amber note with strong stability and diffusion, alongside the consistency professional formulators need.
For fragrance houses and flavour manufacturers under pressure to show credible progress on sustainability, Timberlove® now combines that performance with certified, verifiable renewable origin. High olfactive performance plus independently certified biogenic carbon is a rare combination in the Ambroxide market.
The certifications add to Timberlove®'s existing EU and UK REACH registrations. Chematek continues to build the product's technical and regulatory case for its ambition: the benchmark Ambroxide source for the international flavours and fragrances industry.
